Meet the Team
David J. King, MAI SRA
Dave King has been a partner in Nicklas King McConahy since 1975. He became one of the youngest appraisers to attain the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 1979. He also holds the RM and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute and has performed appraisals in 23 states.
Dave was one of the original members of the Pennsylvania State Board of Real Estate Appraisers and was nominated by former Governors Robert P. Casey and Thomas J. Ridge. He was also Chairman of the Board from 1995-2000. He is a past President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and served as the Ethics Administrator for the Institute’s Central Atlantic Region.
David E. McConahy, MAI
After graduating Bethany College with a BA degree in Economics, Dave McConahy immediately started his career in real estate appraising and consulting. Dave obtained his MAI designation in 1996 and currently holds appraisal certifications in ten states. He became a partner at Nicklas King McConahy and has appraised commercial, industrial and residential properties in more than 20 states.
Dave routinely provides reports for lending purposes, portfolio valuation, estate planning, market studies, property tax valuation and eminent domain. He has testified as an expert witness in several states, including Ohio, where a landmark tax appeal case was decided at the state Supreme Court. Dave was president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Appraisal Institute after serving on the Board of Directors for many years. Currently, he is president of the Jackson Township Zoning Hearing Board in Butler County.
Connor graduated from Buffalo State College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology where he also played NCAA Ice Hockey. He has worked with Nicklas King McConahy since 2012 and is a PA-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with experience appraising hundreds of commercial, industrial and agricultural properties. Connor is a Dale Carnegie graduate and currently complies with all continuing education requirements of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Stephanie is a state-certified residential real estate appraiser and has appraised thousands of houses in Northern Allegheny, Southern Butler and Eastern Beaver Counties over the past 25 years.
John F. King
John has worked at Nicklas King McConahy since 1998. After attending Ohio University and then the University of Pittsburgh where he studied history, he became a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in 2008. John has extensive experience appraising many types of commercial and industrial properties throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Bruce is a graduate from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a major in business management and a minor in real estate. He has been a partner of Dave King’s in the Greensburg office for many years and has appraised thousands of houses in all of Westmoreland County and the Eastern part of Allegheny County over the past 25 years. Bruce has been a PA State-certified residential appraiser since 1991 and has had the PA Broker/Appraiser license since 1998. He has an IFA and an ASA designation from the American Society of Appraisers.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Tim is a state-certified residential appraiser. A life-long Pittsburgher, he has been with the company for over 30 years. Tim has appraised thousands of properties in the greater Pittsburgh area, primarily in Southern Allegheny and Washington Counties.
